TBT & Covid

We can all breathe a sigh of relief with the announcements by the CDC and Governor Hochul that Nassau County is in the “green zone.” Many of our daily activities can now safely resume without some of the precautions we have had to take over the past two years.

As of Wednesday, March 2, mask-wearing will now be a personal choice at Temple B’nai Torah. There will no longer be a vaccine check requirement.  This includes all Temple B’nai Torah programs, services, events, bingo and Religious School. These changes are based on the low infection, transmission, and hospitalization rates, and the direction by the health experts who have been guiding our procedures over the past two years.

As always, we “follow the science”. If transmission rates change, we may choose to adjust the masking or vaccination requirements.

Please respect all those in our community, whatever they decide is best for them and their family, in terms of mask-wearing and social distancing. Masks will continue to be made available.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the office.
