“Morah” Meredith Lubin
In addition to her Religious School duties, Meredith is also proud to be the Director of Youth Activities here at TBT. She absolutely loves getting to work with the youth and teens, helping them to explore their Judaism in an informal setting while having a blast! Having been an active participant in Temple Youth Groups and NFTY programming when she was growing up, she truly believes in the value that a strong Temple Youth experience can have. She is very much looking forward to expanding the youth programs offered at TBT along with Assistant Youth Director, Mr. Marks.
Mr. Marks is excited to be continuing his second year as a Religious School teacher at Temple B’nai Torah, and starting his first as the Assistant Youth Director! Before coming to TBT, he taught for over 7 years at Temple Emanu-El of East Meadow.
Growing up, Mr. Marks always knew he wanted to be a teacher, and therefore, he obtained his
Bachelors Degree in Sociology, then continued on to receive his Master Degree in Elementary Education with a Certification in Special Education, all from Adelphi University. While obtaining his degree, he began working as a religious school teacher at TEEM. Since then he continues to teach religious education and loves every second of it. It has been an honor watching his students grow and expand their Jewish Education over the years
In addition, Mr.Marks is so excited to proudly serve as Assistant Youth Director alongside Morah Meredith. He looks forward to this wonderful new opportunity working with the students of the New TBT.
Outside of school, Mr. Marks works for the NYC DOE as a 3rd Grade Special Education teacher in Queens. In his limited free time, he enjoys listening to music, relaxing and playing with his 4 dogs.
